Biography
In the spring of 2010, whereby to escape the New Depression and forget their troubles, three Bowery bums took to congregating in the wild, green corners of the East Village to sing some good old country harmonies. Pretty soon they began attracting other world-weary city folk to their rural oasis in the heart of Manhattan. From impromptu musical revelry they evolved to a gigging quintet and became the Bella Boys Band, named after the tenement where they got their start: the Casa Bella.
The Boys can be found at backyard hootenannies, rooftop ruckuses, honkytonk bars, and public park panhandles all around the Village and beyond. Come help us celebrate the good times to get through the hard times, anytime at all.
